Weekly Oxen Labs Update #263
Dev
This week the Session team released a new release on all platforms overhauling push notifications for 1-1 chats and adding more settings around how message requests from communities are handled client side. The Session team continued working on disappearing messages on Android and Desktop and our new closed group implementation across all platforms. The Oxen team started integrating the Ethyl library into Oxen core and started discussions around where core calculations around Service Node rewards and the Service Node list would occur. The Lokinet team continued their efforts to make changes to Lokinet and libQUIC to get both softwares ready for integration with each other.

Marketing:
Howdy all, welcome back to another update from us here in the marketing team. Last week we were in the trenches again, setting up our Q4 projects and smashing out content.
Alex and Josh continued to work on refining the branding of Session Token. There's been a lot of copy, design and strategic work poured into this rebrand over the last couple months, and last week we got another round of feedback from Chris. His fresh eyes offered a perspective into changes that needed to be made, and we hope to share a polished version with our community soon.
Cam worked through some strategic planning for Q4, restructuring the workflow process of our content and copywriting to better serve our goals and make collaboration easier. As we are fast approaching the end of Q3, we also completed our August social media reviews to see what is working and what isn’t so we can hit the ground running in Q4.
Our upcoming newsletter mock-ups continued, as we began testing copy and design iterations to make sure that our newsletter stands out from competitors. We also prepared and organised video content set to be filmed next week.
And finally we continued to work on our Session token launch campaign that encompasses a variety of unique mediums and platforms. Working through the campaign hub, Cam made sure that as our branding shifts and changes, the promotional campaign is accordingly pivoted.
That's all for this week folks!
